It's been a while | Gamers Portal etc.

Yes yes, it has been sometime since I posted a blog entry on xfire, I wonder who really reads my posts since I do get a decent amount of views on all my other ones.
I'm going to talk about a few games in particular and regarding the games for windows live service.
Halo 2: Vista and Gears of War for Windows.
Let me start off by saying both are very incredible games, for the great amount of hours clocked in on halo 2 on xbox(Which I still play *Team XLink). Halo 2: Vista is damn near identical port of the original xbox version with some up-to-date features such as achievements amongst other things, it's basically the same thing. I've tried to play this game on keyboard and mouse, and I even mapped my keys exactly as I had them for halo 1 pc. I have to tell ya, I feel naked without a controller. Other then that, it's your typical Games For Windows Live game, very small community, but the community that does exist is die hard, which is better then nothing in my book.
Now on to gears of war, This game is so beautiful, I don't think other people understand by not giving it a chance. Microsoft did fuck up, multiple times; there biggest one, for the first year of it's release that make PC Users get Windows Live Gold(Similar to XBox Live for the consoles). Which severely hurt the Gears of War PC Division. Basically saying people that play on PC need to also pay a sub-scription to play online, That's a really huge no-no for the greater portion of the PC gaming Community.
We bought the game, we get to play.
/end rant
*phew* Now that I'm done ranting let me talk about a social networking service related to gamers. I'm talking about GAMERSPORTAL©(www.gamersportal.com).
It's in aplha stage and I just so happen to know the right people, so far I've been able to link up my gamerportal account with all my other client accounts such as AIM, XFIRE, Xbox/Windows Live Accounts, Steam etc. etc.. For those of you who know about raptr(http://raptr.com/); should also know that it sucks balls -_-. I like to keep my gaming and my social networking life semi-detached from each other, people should only know me for who I am in the virtual world and nothing more, ya know boundaries that shouldn't be crossed.
The first day I go and try to use raptr, it auto logged me in with my facebook and had all my information on there for other gamers to see. Once again, another huge huge no-no.
I'm not going to destroy raptr in rants, because I'm sure it's a good client it has really good ideas, but it's just not for me.
gamersportal has potential, and if you would like an invite to try it out comment on this blog post or hit me up on my xfire or steam.
Till next time.
