8800M GTX FTW!!!
2008-03-12 10:47 PM PDT
That's right. My 8800M GTX finally arrived. XD

For my new system specs, go to the bottom part of this page: http://www.xfire.com/profile/randomhuman/

Opened up my notebook back cover and installed it. No problems so far.

All of my games actually can now run at 1440x900 and 1680x1050 most high settings with 50+fps! (except stupid crysis...-_- )

Anyways, here is the 3DMark06 test I've done. Pretty big improvement from my previous Go 7950GTX.

March 2008 DirectX Update, 167.43 drivers, overclocked to its limit!
[Core: 550, Shader: 1400, Memory: 850]

CPU overclocked to 2.2GHz from 2.0GHz.

*Note: it seems that the 8800M GTX is hotter and requires more power than the 7950GTX and therefore prevents my CPU from achieving higher OC values such as 2.3GHz (which can be done with my 7950GTX but right after I installed my 8800M GTX it no longer works at 2.3GHz.)

But then again, 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz is already more than enough for today's newest games (including RTS) so I can't be more happier. XD

That's it for now.

W00t!!! It's here!!! It's so 1337!!! xP
My Sager NP5790 (read specs at the bottom of my profile page: http://www.xfire.com/profile/randomhuman/ ) with a nVidia Go 7950GTX 512MB (same as a desktop 7950GT) certainly can play most games on high settings without any problems...XD Loving it!

EDIT 2: [4/3/2008] I found out how to overclock my processor just now. I oced my cpu from 2.00GHz to 2.30GHz. FYI I'm using the 174.16 driver in this one. 5938!!! Seems like a pretty big improvement from my last few 3DMark06 scores! xD

EDIT: Just overclocked it to its limit and did a 3DMark06 test for it and I gotta say I'm very happy with the result! x)

Here's the one which I didn't overclock. Gotta say it's still pretty good at stock clocks.

Here's a few pics of it:

EDIT: These ones are the inside of it. Enjoy!
