I have some more time the coming months so i will be gaming more. Plan to get a new puter and some new games and play those and some classic ET for 1-2 evening(s) a week.

Been busy with work and projects and the garden and i have everything under control. This will continiou to take time in the future.

Doing well personally too, good balance and doing more social stuff. Did a couple of side projects like an essay and musicvideoclip. No prices but it was fun and i learned and got contacts and orders. Doing 2 other 48 hour projects as well, looking forward to that.

I wont have much time after this winter either because besides work i have some new ideas i want to try out, and a couple of shelved side-projects that need to be finished. When that is done i will start with parttime school in the evening hours. Therefore gaming will be minimal the coming years.

im AFK obviously. i know im letting down people and agreements, and for that im truly sorry, but a business opportunity came along i simply cannot refuse. so im working on my career for the next 3 years. this will take lots of investment also in time, but this is my dream job so im taking a chance. unfortunately this also means i have no time at all (well i have 1 hour a day) and any remaining time i spend on movie projects which are also soaring. funny how things can go so fast. in december i will have 3 months with some more time, so ill be back...

Hi folks, another update for you.

I have decided to join the IMG WET community where I start as a trial member. I like the folks there and the servers, and since I have the time and I still enjoy some ET gaming, it just makes sense. This will not become a problem with either IMG or SGC activities, since I have made my choices and will act accordingly so I can keep all commitments I have made. I see it as helping secure my ET fun, while I also have fun with SGC members. Find out about IMG here:

The SGC build is still going well. The grow rate is slow, but it is still moving forward. When members finally make use of the website and the new coming TS, things may just go well enough to jump to next level. It is very frustrating to see, but I still have hope. I am looking forward to working with our new partner; the Fir3 MW2 clan. They are friendly mature gamers. Hopefully this together with the random invites will give some momentum. Some key members are busy with exams, when they get back I hope to be able to get going again. That does not mean very intensive activities, im just here for the community, and I help out.

Tough I am online a lot and will even do some ET gaming, I am also busy with RL projects.

To conclude I am very happy to see Xfire taking a serious interest in their own future on the forum. I haven’t contributed to it yet, but I will if I have something usefull to add. Check it out!

Rough 2 months, especially november was bad. Lets just keep it at good for business and bad for me. Guess thats not too bad. Had a couple of nasty experiences, fi i almost killed a granny in a car, and 2 pedestrians who ignored a red sign. This shit isnt as much fun in RL as in VL. Came out ok, and could have gone a lot worse, so chapter closed.
Were snowed in today, gives an additional free day so ill be on tonight. Been a while here since a proper winter. I made some more nature vids and uploaded them to my photobucketpage. Most other project are nearing completion, so ive began thinking about other, new ones. Also ive been writing a lot since thats the only activity i can easily fit in my schedule. I hope i can reserve some time for gaming after christmas too, well see. I may switch gaming in for writing and political activities alltogether. I dont know if any of you have been following whats been going on on the xfireforum, and with xfire in general?!. imo a new breed of gamer is ruining it for the old one. Examples are plentiful, fi the wondergamerbashing tough hes a helper,the pathatic xfire gear slogans entries, the forum isnt really used, as is xfire in genereal. most, if active at all, arent making full use of the full possibilities of xfire. Its amazing to see how the steam knockoff has gotten a foodhold, while it eleminates trade and obligates you to use it, almost without resistence. Ive even heard the argument: but poeple are on steam..maybe, but what kind? In short it almost like nobody makes a stand, or even understands that concept. People have lost interest. This general attitude is something ive observed on servers lately, people dont care obout objectives only themselves, and are very agressive, sometimes even abusive.



You can also see this lazyness in searching for previous posts, or even reading a single page. Uhh, i dont want to care about that, doh. One can even see some counter-initiatives screaming in the desert. Maybe it has to do with the fact that there are no good new dedicated games?? I dont know. Maybe its just me? I finally found some personal stability again, and therefore have a more stable time schedule that I will put to good use. This will probably last for 4-5 months, after witch some RL projects will take over my SGC time for some a while. I also have some time for actual gaming, which I will spend on Metro 2033, Alien Swarm and ET. The SGC will take up most of my free time, since im advising and helping out until there is a stable situation. This project is actually coming along above predictions, and its still enormous fun to do. Also there are some side projects with regard to gaming that are in the pipeline. Looking forward to those.
Ive been really busy with some vids projects both on ice and in the pipeline. Xfire has been bugging me with the uploads but it’ll prob improve soon. I made a spring movie about birdies that I still have to upload, as well as a recut of an old sigma vid. Links:

Vids in the pipeline are about metro 2033, and the fun I have with ET lately, but both still lack sufficient raw footage to edit.
For the future I have another vid idea that will require a partner, but its still very far away.

in my quest for finding an alternative to Wolfenstein Enemy Territory i have come across some interesting games tough i havent found a game worthy of replacing ET.

COD2 the old one sucks as well as MW2, which leads me to conclude that both lack proper setting options and have a serious engine issue. i got a tip from moesoldiers that i might like WAW, well i wont play it, prob sucks as well. much better of playing sniper.
BOTH C&C 3 and 4 are sound games, had a lot of fun playing those, especially 3 was superb.
Alien Swarm is a free game on steam and no matter how i hate that program it is surprisingly a lot of fun to play, and a good mod initiative. if something like that is made for ET like game i would actually donate money.
The best shooter imo is metro 2033. its just a real gem, super fun tough a bit short, sorta a cross between adventure and fps. lovely.
Empire of war is simple and fun and really cheap to buy now, but i wouldnt recommend it.
Looking at eve at liking that but finding it required to much time input and was too RL money centered im looking for a good build/space game and i have now found Armada 2526. I havent played it long enough for a serious opinion but so far im loving it, its just the right combo for me personally.

im not saying this is the one truth or even relevent to the current issue, but its intended for background information usage.

since the laucnh wasnt executed properly i can only speculate, but its within margin due to macro-factors. it wouldnt have made the difference. i made a first website which wasnt a succes to to missing interactivity, not properly working login, but most importantly because of the same reason the second failed; namely non-usage. i must say cool&tom made a super new site but there we have the same problem. therefore we have both the wrong type of members, and the wrong ideal picture, maybe one more then the other. Leading that we must conclude that it is not possible to create a clan in our form. that does not exclude other group form and/or gaming cooperation. i realise this line of tought is difficult, however im totally convinced of its correctness, and key to the now following main analasys:
there are several understated key facts, like:
sigma isnt alive yet, there are only a couple of active members, and only a handful what you might call members. within these members there is no possibility of getting a clan working. there is no way we can cooperate on gaming level since everybody has different main games. we are therefore faced with 2 main possibilities: re-organise into a friend group, or attract new, clan-capable, members and start again, and on a new main game. if any of these main factors arent taken in, restarting is inpossible.
after analyses:
the main problem isnt really in building, thinking or even concept, it is in following rules, and having the right kind of members and mostly activity.
If, and thats a big one, you can get over that AND do something collective, then there is still a real chance. you could try this out by having say a weekly game or talking hour, that you post on the new website. if...
