My first blog :D -- Reasons for leaving ...
I'm not much of a blogger but I thought I should post this as a message to anyone interested in reading.
As you may or may not know I founded the PÕQ clan several years ago, always enjoying working on things to make it better, talking and having fun with new people and creating interesting maps to play on. Over this time I've spent countless nights modding maps, posting on the forums, teaching Admins, new Leaders, setting the clan up with a website, and spending over $2,000 in server bills for the clan.
Over the past several months I've been moderately inactive due to school and just life's craziness in general. When I went inactive I relied on the remaining leaders and members to maintain the same atmosphere of a friendly fun environment.
When I came back it appeared it wasn't friendly or fun, just stacked with rules and regulations everywhere with many (not all) members and Admins obsessed only with banning and kicking players.
I tried desperately to change the direction of the clan, but everything I tried only went to waste because the leaders constantly shot down the ideas. Even though I could have kicked them out and ran it how I liked, I decided not to.
So I figured if I wasn't going to have any fun or enjoy being in the clan, why waste my time with people who enjoy kicking and banning people, then posting thousands of threads about it in the forums.
So I resigned and left PÕQ to be run how the remaining leaders would like it to be run.
A lot of great people in PÕQ - I'm not trying to say they're all bad or boring, just not fun for me.
I wish the PÕQ clan and it's members the best, after all it was my creation so it's hard to hate it too much. I hope no grudges will be kept, although I'm sure some will be.
It's just a game after all, stop taking it so seriously
