Just WTF! [reposted]

Urkh. Feeling after drinking about a bottle of whiskey. Yes. That.

That jobtrainingingin... Yes, note still up: Learn to type. That jobtraining thing mentioned last time, huge success! I have been working past 4 months as a graphic designer for an organisation called Majakka. The work I do there, is of no subject I will go in this blog.

I get a "steady" income for rest of this year and only work for 5 hours day, for reasons not translatable with this headache. Meaning, I still get a lot of time for gaming. Horray! That is what I can live with.

So, back to gaming. APB:R rocks. Minecraft mods rock. And WoW is back, and now to the list of games currently being played, and not being played.

Currently playing:

APB:Reloaded, YES! YES! YES! Thank you GamerFirst! I am so happy to return to it. And I've been playing it quite a lot. Well, not counting the SWTOR time I had for 3 months, but I am back to APB again. And GamersFirst, thank you again for the actual content update last month. But the fucking Tommy Gun is so OP. just kidding, shotgun can still manage with cover. Playing in EU1 (Obeya) under the name, Pesh. And still carrying 1 piece of clothing I had from original APB.

Tekkit
Or rather, Minecraft modpack called TechnicPack. This modpack is a huge addition to the already awesome multiplayer of Minecraft. Simply awesome. For more information, go visit http://www.technicpack.net/.

World of Warcraft, again
Thanks to the recent re-release of "Scroll of Resurection" that allows you to level a character to level 80, make a realm and faction change to the invitations senders ranks. For me, this means going back to SoM/NA/Twister Logic guild I spent Wrath of the Lich King with. Also, you get 7 days of gametime, and if you sub to wow again, you will get the sender of the invite, a mount. Not sure if you get other things too. But yeah, Rogue Legendary Dagger questline has been quite a lot of fun, and I will try to finish it before Cataclysm runs out.

Revival!
2010-11-20 2:23 PM PST
As of 11th of the running month, there has been a huge turn of the slowly dying game, APB. K2 Networks has bought APB, with 1.5 million £, and decided to relaunch it, as a free to play game. This is infact the best news since APBs actual launch.

Turning APB into a free to play IMO might make the game easier target for hackers and trollers. This said the risk of the game reflopping is still a possibly, still talking IMO, but I do hope they decide to add some kind of hacker prevent system (ie. GameGuard or PunkBuster) that works. (like GameGuard, that wasnt such a good hacking preventer back in day, when MapleStory was still "young"

Still its good to know I will now get back to the game, since I've truly missed it for a "long" time now. Again, will I be known as Pézz, the Criminal. Soon, very soon atleast.

Yosh, other shit. For now I will always start making a mark of what I am playing at, and why perhaps. Yes, I will....... *silence*

Ahem...!

Current gaming:

Minecraft: Playing single player, since Kingdom of Alesgan is still missing server host.

World of Warcraft: The Guild TrollFaceDotJPG/PNG/GIF has been opened for recruitment in the live servers, and once the patch 4.0.3a will be applied, I will start that mage I got intrest while testing Cataclysm beta leveling on the PTR.

Amnesia The Dark Descent: Why? Its freaking scary, and indie. A game worth its cheap price. Still I will hold finishing it untill I get this shitty jobtraining out of the way so I get the dark evenings for game time.

Fallout New Vegas: It rocks, very hard, and with pouch of mods, the game gets really good replay value. Still, I havent even finished the main story once, since I restarted cause I got like 15 more mods and the game was so dam confusing with all that was happening atm, so I "rerolled".

Games on-hold: Dead Rising 2, Starcraft 2. (both mostly cause of reduced gaming time for jobtraining.)

Alrighty, people, keep playing and keep it simple! Good night. Dam...

R.I.P: All Points Bulletin
2010-09-26 2:26 PM PDT
Yes it saddens me, honestly saddens me. Our short lived "Criminals vs Police" MMO has been closed down. If you never got to know APB, then shame on you. (Well, not, but that doesnt matter anymore.) All Points Bulletin, or APB as its called, was imo one of the best MMO's Ive played, since... I started playing games. Developed and Puplished by Realtime Worlds, the game was first of its kinda. In the sense of GTA like 3rd-person-sandbox-shooter.

Why was it shut down? Id say a bankrupt company behind the game. Maybe, just maybe, Im wrong. But that is what I have heard, ingame and from outside the game. I cant seem to find the words bankrupt or anything like that to be proof of it but it is what I believe at the moment. Other things that I have read are that the game had development problems, including problems amongst the staff, and funding. More about that is readable in Luke Halliwell's Weblog. There is also some talk about development stages of the game itself on earlier posts from last year.

Enough of that. I will now, in my own words, will talk about some of APB's goods and bads. Lets start of the bad, so we can end this blog in good words for the fallen. So, first thing ´needing mentioning was HACKER. Ouch, big word. Im not saying that I had proof that they were, but there was few occasion where I felt like opponents did NOT go all out by skill. At start it felt like all I fought against were hackers, but it fastly changed when I realized that I WASNT JUST GOOD ENOUGH. But still, few occasions there was situations that were not explainable. Second was the rating system. The game rates players in 2 diffrent main ratings. First one is actual RATE, that rates your progression, and the other was Notorisy/Pergitige (probably missspeleld both). Rating was needed to wierd better equipment/weapons/cars and such, and the second was ment for... erm... Lost my tought there, but what I try to say is, who you get send against in the game. Problem with that was that you could get sent against players...

Minecraft!
2010-06-08 1:59 AM PDT
Yes those lovely pixel blocks! I've so fell love with this simple game with epic portions. And that, has cut out much of my time from Star Craft 2 beta matching. Also WoW is taking alot of time from it also.

Where I was at Star Craft 2 beta:
I've decided that I will start playing it only if there isn't anything to do with Minecraft or WoW, since I haven't even gotten myself ranked in 1v1 or 2v2. So for now I will wait mostly if they let us test Single player, or if that's not the case, I was for the real release. So peace out beta, for now.

Where I am at in World of Warcraft
Probably would be good time to inform that I've changed server from Azuremyst, to Kul Tiras. (EU of course) This is because our Azure guild, Sister of Mercy decided that there wasn't enough horde to get a good raid group together. That was cause of the horrible horde-alliance ration of the server. So we decided to either merge, change server, or change to alliance. And after long thinking, the decision was to change server to more horde populated server. So here we are, kul Tiras, and now we serve under a new name, the name of Nox Aeternum.

This also ment, that those left behind would leave holes in the raid rooster, so I opted for raider finaly. Yesterday, I got myself promoted to raider so I can finaly start bidding better for marks to upgrade my t10 gear. This also mean, 3 night of week there are raids to be being in. Now lets skip to my 2rd subject...

Where I am at.. Erm... Minecraft? What is that?
Minecraft, is a java based first person mining game simulator (sort of) by Markus Persson, aka. Notch. The game itself is not really a great feat of graphic display. It's simply a game with 3d pixelblock graphics, witch in todays gaming world is honorable feat for a really good game, which Minecraft is. Tho it is still in alpha testing (and 50% off the price) it rocks and has almost 19000 copies pre-sold.

The game itself is based on selfwritten java and is categorized into 2 diffrent modes currently, Creative and...

Best SC2 game so far
2010-03-18 1:16 PM PDT
Game I just finished was the best game so far I've played. I was going against this other terran player, who had collected himself quite a huge ground force (Scanner sweep, also he didnt seem to have air defence up). I had already noticed that and countered it with a pile of banshees with some reapers backing up. If you know better, that is certainly a weak air group with no air attacks at all. So I decided to gather the bashee on the top left corner of the map and the reapers on a lead with Xel'naga tower over a ledge near his base. After he had attacked my base, I made a imidiate counter attack destroying his only base, as he was marthing into my not-so-only-base (I had hidden an expansion on another corner of the map, so his forces were only destrouying expandable base). After Both bases destroid started the battle of wills, I had a dosen of SCV's and 2 Command centers left, and he had a barracks and a factory, with no SCV's and a 30 to 40 marines with 3 med-vacs. I managed to destroy his marine back with Banshees with Cloak, but after that I had to try kill his flying barracks...... Fairly annoying cause Banshees attack only ground, and reapers can't attack up...... It was 10 minute battle of wills, untill I made him give up by building missile towers around his location.

Best battle so far, thank you, Sub.

Update on beta progress...
2010-03-08 3:42 AM PST
After 3 days of playing sc2 beta, Ive won around 5 times now. Mostly Terran, one Zerg, and now finaly a Protoss victory. Times played is around 10 to 12. 3 of those came from the 5 practise match you can play before trying to play with them a bit more expirienced players.

An intresting fact I noticed while playing protoss. Protoss players dont make much detectors. For example the opponent on the last match (first protoss victory) was in huge advance untill the last 3rd of the game. He kept harrasing me with quick attacks for a while. I had build an expansion to a high yeld minerals that he didnt notice, so I was able to manage my main base while it was constantly under fire. While thatattacking I made a Dark Shrine to my expansion without my opponent noticing and was able to warp 2 dark templars to my base defending forces. I dont think it was only the dark templars who gave me the edge, since I had a observer scouting the closest expansion of his. So I knew when I got the upper had while he was gathering more troops. So I striked at him, with those dark templar on my attackers, dealing hidden damage at him while my sligthly small troops attacked. Without them I wouldnt have success the attack on him, since he had right about same amount of troops against mine (without counting the observers and dark templars).

I think both of us were surprised how the tables turned around, and I managed to kill him off. If he had had observers or atleast few cannons up, he would have noticed that I had a small edge while attacking him, and he could have overstrategied my attack. Probably. So shout out to Bonzic; GG!

First 2 games.
2010-03-05 10:35 PM PST
All right, current play count on sc2 games is 2. 1 Lose, 1 Victory. The first win might be highly possible for this 5 beginner matches you have to play first.

Toughts on the matches:

Match 1: Me Vs. Djudikator
The first game! Neat-O! From the first look into the game was totaly worth waiting for a decade. I wasn't really able to play it completely efficienly (<- typo?). I have been watching replays from youtube a week now, so i could imideatly know what to do, tho I didn't do every possible right desicion at the start. Forgot to send the spy, started to building blockage on the first cap too late. This match was really just the getting use to the game system. I lost for simple reason, imba troops.

Match 2: Me Vs. ddkedr

MY first victory! Horray for me, and the terran air force! This game I had already a better grip on than the first one. The reason I didn't lose was probably that my opponent wasnt that agressive on the start with harrasing. I did some good aggressive moves agaist him with 3 units of reaper towatds his first expansion, abd made him lose good economical boost, while I managed to put up my first expansion. Thanks to his unwillingness to attack me first I was able to push trough to his main base with Viking/Battle curser fleet, with Thor/Marine backup.

Thats the first 2 matches, next i will take a quick shower and play one game before heading to work. Laters!

Rare update
2010-03-05 1:50 PM PST
Last blog dates ages back. Too long back. Probably cause nothing that mentionable has happened. But now, I have a reason blog perhaps! Today, about 20 minutes ago, I went to check my Battle.net game management, and for a long time, I was completely shot out of the chair! I GOT DA SC2 BETA ACCESS! I am happy right now!

This means that I will be blogging my progress of beta testing the game. Hopefully that will be often, since I'm kinda been busy and will be busy with school-job-training. 8 hours a day, atleast. But I wont that let be any kind of distraction from beta uptime after work!

Starting tomorrow morning, I will try play as much as 2 games a day the least! But now, I will go get some sleep, and wake up early to install it... Downloading will be taking around.... an hour.

But now, It's good night!

Unsubjected/Multisubjected
2009-06-09 11:50 PM PDT
Meh, can't really figure how to subject this. Anyways.

After 5 months of WoWing, my PC took and said it wont run anymore. *roll eyes* So no more WoW for now. Luckly I still managed to format the PC and gained fresh start with this PC, after 1 recovery fix, and 2 reinstalls. Still, WoW won't be installable, so I will just live with it till I manage to buy a brandnew, or better PC.

Something about the 5 months of WoWing. I noticed that even if you reach the max level (80), you won't be all powerfull. Its a shame I have to wait, since I had just gotten myself into a good guild, that is able in raiding business. Sisters Of Mercy, or just SoM. Shout out for you guys there!

On other things. While back I wrote about downloading music from this one site called TheGround.com. About that, it was probably a bad idea. I did get the CD from direc download, but a downside is that the link was available for 1 month only. So now i can't get that CD I bought back. (Formating PC does clear out the Harddrive, and I didn't get a chance to backup the music) Since that place can't backup lost data I won't be using it anymore.

Still staying on the topic, I have found another site with .mp3 downloads. 7digital.com, a way much better site perhaps. Only thing you have to do is install a download program, and buy a CD. For a test, i bought some finnish rock, CMX. I can't really remember when I bought the CD, but even after several months, I can still redownload the CD.

Thats it for now. Now I'm off to a jobinterview. Hopefully I can get a job so I can collectmoney for the nwe PC! \o/

P.S. This Ozzy WoW commercial I get is starting to annoy me already.

Hello... WoW
2008-12-24 7:36 AM PST
Oh wow! (hehe)

Around............ few years ago.... No, many years ago, when i was just a kid, waiting to get into teenage, I once saw a friend of mine play Warcraft II. Man that was awsome! I loved it instantly. But only resently I have bought Warcraft 2. (Maybe like a half a year ago.) At that time I had seen someone else play World of Warcraft. At that time I was very unintrested about the whole deal of "WoW".

Back then I tought if I'd ever try it I would be hooked on it. And now around a month ago, a friend of mine told me to get the free 10 day trial. Oh man did my bet about getting hooked on it was right. When the 10 day trial was over, oh how I noticed that I had already bought the orginal box, and was going over level 20 already. At 17th January the free first month will be over. I so hope I won't have enough money to buy more playtime.
