Wed. November 11th
The first day we entered Tenochtitlan the capital of the mighty Aztec empire, we were surprised, the city was big and during the afternoon the city looked amazing. Me and my squad went to lake Texcoco which was near Tenochtitlan to have some water. We saw the people of Acolhuas and Tepanecs with our Aztec emperor forming the Aztec triple alliance. We heard rumors of changing the name into Aztec empire. This alliance worked well because we all spoke the Nahuatl language. Our Aztec empire also had members from little cities in South America. The capital of our great empire was Tenochtitlan.

Today it was time for us to go to the center of Tenochtitlan, between our 3 temples to watch the captured prisoners to be sacrificed to please our god Huitzilopochtli. We celebrated with dances and feast’s till dawn. The next day when I left my house the streets were filled with merchants on there way to the local market. Last week when I was ordered to guard Tlatelolco the city had about 60,000 people trading daily. Our missionary Bernardino de Sahagún said the population estimate 20,000 people on ordinary days and 40,000 on feast days. We also saw specialized market in central mexico.

When I passed the school which was next to the ball game. At the ball game we used a ball that was 4kg (9 lbs) and we had to hit the ball into the goal with our hips.
