World in Conflict: Securom fucks up
2007-09-20 12:29 PM PDT
So,I installed World in Conflict today and it just rocks. This game will set a new standard in Online-RTS. The community-features are so awesome. But I got in some trouble starting the game within Vista Ultimate.
World in Conflict uses Securom to protect the game from being copied. But the copy protection just sucks. It tells me, that there is an emulation-software installed, so it aborts the launch. That is just bullshit. My new pc is the first one I own without any emulation software. Securom is just a load of bullshit.
But I found an easy workaround: Just launch the game as an Administrator and Securom shuts up. This is just crazy, what does this shitload of software protect? It just doesn't make sense to me.
