I am testing out KGB Archiver at the moment. Starting compressing 2 games. One game is 12 GB and the other is 4.7 Gb. Trying to see how well it compresses files better than 7zip. 7zip is already the best file compressor and file manager. But It takes a monstrous amount of RAM for maximum dictionary size in 7zip. Compression level Ultra and Dictionary Size of 1GB would need to allocate 11Gb of RAM lol. KGB at it's max settings only wants 1Gb of RAM. Downsides though with KGB is that unlike 7zip which can utilize every single core/thread in your PC KGB can only use one core. And KGB takes a massive amount of time to compress. It may take 20 hours to compress 4.7 Gb and 2-3 days to compress 12 GB. If I could get it running on all 4 I could do it 4x faster. Need faster processors and more RAM still lol. There will never be such a thing as 'too much'.
