Narrative Essay
2010-02-09 1:40 AM PST
The average day of school was one filled with fear. Not fear of persecution, or difference, but fear of people and the events that surround them. It was like being dropped off onto a foreign planet, being completely unfamiliar with the communication methods and customs. Each year was nothing more than the same situations, yet worse as social situations became more integrated. Whenever the time came that I needed to use social communication, my voice would fail me at speaking correctly. I might speak in the wrong pitch or tone, use terms that people do not understand, or butcher the sentence structure into something completely unrecognizable. Academics, however, presented no real problem other than assignments requiring social skills. Even though I was an honors student, I found myself learning little of nothing. After all, by the time I was in sixth grade I already possessed the knowledge to start college. My personal goal of attending school was to learn as much as possible in preparation for the future so that I can help people as well as myself. The two things I learned was that I did not understand, nor could I comprehend students of my age and their strange and seemingly terrible activities, as well as learn that the entire school system is completely unsuited, more accurately useless, for a person like me. The amount of homework assignments given in each class was also terrifying. What purpose is there in all that homework that they had given to me anyways? If it is there to help the learning process then it definitely did the opposite. It is like giving poison to plants to help them grow. It did nothing more than hinder my learning process drastically, by means of preoccupying me with enough homework to prevent me to have enough time to learn anything new, as well as get enough adequate rest to keep a healthy state of mind and body.
The typical day always started with a very desperate and hurried morning. I would spend all day coming home from school and all night performing homework, typically...

More list of games purchased
2010-02-08 9:36 PM PST
Previously Metro 2033 and Red Faction: Guerrilla received a spot on my Steam games list. Now I bring some more games purchased since Steam is having the 66% off all Total War games (except Napoleon of course lol)

Medieval II: Kingdoms
Rome Total War Gold
Rome Total War Alexander

Now that I have Kingdoms I can play this awesome Lord of the Rings mod that recently won #7 of Mod of the Year on MODDB.

In other news, writing a narrative essay, but currently my introductory paragraph is taking up the entire page. Finished this weeks assignments for MCA, no word from my instructor on the Module 1 Exam due in 23 minutes, and no word on assignments for this week in Intro to Info. Tech (same IT teacher).

Lol, I was pwning people quite severely lol. As for lag, I hardly have any lag, actually Id say 0.1% lag. Barely noticeable and not worth mentioning. The game runs better than expected even if I have 300ms ping lol. BF2 gives me much more lag lol (sort of unplayable too). I tried out the medic class lol. I lold when I was on defending and when the attackers destroyed the first two bases and started going for the next ones I was still back there pwning them and they seemed clueless. Four guys were having problems with me lol. Id kill them and theyd try to flank me but fail. lol I killed 9 people then ran out of ammo for my main gun and switch to pistol lol. I pistoled 3 people before dying. I dont know but that was kinda really sad lol. But they did get thei payback later in the game, I died like 8 times. Every time I spawned lol. But at the end of the round my K/D ration was 1.09 so. Still good lol. And practically went up two ranks lol. I tried the sniper and while it was a bit hard at first to aim I find that its a lot easier now. I had several sniper battles, and for the most part I won. Used the tactics from the sniper school videos lol. Got several headshots lol. There was this one annoying sniper when I was medic in one server. Seemed none of the snipers on my team were paying any attention to him. He was sitting on top of a building for crying out loud. Just a sitting target. I swapped to sniper and popped him. I have mostly spent time on medic and sniper and have succeeded in pwning with both lol. Most kills I got with sniper was around 4 I think lol. I died from asplosion lol. And lol there was this one guy who kept getting in the tank but driving it like some old lady who has never been behind the wheel in her entire life. It's like he'd hit the gas then take his foot off, hit the gas then take his foot off, hit the gas and then take his foot off. It was kind of hilarious watching him lol. Not sure why he was doing that lol. As for bugs, I haven't noticed much other than some rare graphics glitch in...

Some updates
2010-01-21 12:08 PM PST
For those of us still using Avast! there is another free and better alternative named
Panda Cloud Antivirus. I have personally tested it and it works perfectly. It has been able to catch viruses in real-time. It has a better virus database since the database is the internet cloud. This means that the program uses little hardware resources and has the biggest, fastest, and most up-to-date database as it updates 24/7 since it is the cloud. It is perfect for those with slow PC's as well as fast PC's. It is recommended to fully uninstall all anti-viruses before installing.

You may also notice that Sticky has learned something. How to link sites in HTML and BBCode without just giving an unprofessional looking link.

Some other news is that Sticky now owns a webspace from his ISP (it is free 250MB webspace).

I am using the following tools for creating my HTML pages and stuffs for the website and then using a FTP client to upload it to the server to be viewed by others on the interwebs.

Aptana Studios (freeware, I love this because it's just like Microsoft Visual C++ IDE but even better! :O Its so easy to use and very convenient for debugging. Best I've seen ever, free program that performs like some 2-300 dollar one
WinSCP (freeware FTP client)

Have learned how to calculate the difference between bits and bytes. So let us say you have a 10Mb (lowercase b stands for bits while uppercase B stands for bytes) connection then you have a 1.25 MB connection speeds. There are 8 bits in a byte. A byte looks like this:

00101101

A bit is either 1 for on or 0 for off.

Fun Fact: Fastest internet in America is 6.25Megabytes per second and costs $200 a month.

And I will also state that this is my third day in college. Little has been happening other than me doing a week's worth of work in 2 days. My mother says I should take breaks often. Like play some games and stuff in-between. lol So things are going smoothly and perfectly. In this book I have here which I have read 200 pages of this 800 page book...

Sticky Mystery # 842
2010-01-19 4:53 PM PST
Noting a new strange occurrence. Or merely something I haven't realized since I never look outside. At the dentist. Looking outside the window into the sky. I see bright white lights unlike any other I have seen. Hundreds of them flying in an intelligent manner across the sky. And also unlike all other things I have mostly seen it is not like an overlay of my vision, instead it is actually there in my vision much like the usual rain I see in some areas. I saw the rain on the bushes but no lights. And looking at the trees I notice that the trees block out the lights so the lights are much farther out behind the trees. And for their size they must be very huge. What exactly they are I don't know yet. Due to flight patterns I'd say these things are living entities. Or maybe UFO's lol. Can't leave that possibility out. Since it is in my vision I would guess that I am seeing a spectrum of light that isn't normally seen, as humans only see a very thin spectrum of light named 'visible light' while many animals can see a wider spectrum such as cats. Maybe this is why pets can see spirits while a normal human may not be able to? I guess this would also explain why cameras are generally the only thing that is able to catch many ghosts as I'm sure they pick up a wider spectrum of light. More scientific investigation needs to happen with optics. Seems highly possible with the new advents of optical technologies coming soon. They will soon be able to replace your eyes with cybernetic implants that have even better capabilities than the human eye.

A Recurring Anomaly Surrounding Sticky

This is the third person that has asked/said the same thing to my mother. My mother is a nurse who goes to humens homes. Mainly older humens but sometimes younger ones. It is the third time that someone has done this. The guy she saw was in his 60's. First time she steps meets him he looks at her and asks "How is your son?" and gives a creepy grin. They always ask questions about me, even though they shouldn't know that my mother even has a son.

STALKER Oblivion Lost Free Game
2010-01-08 1:32 PM PST
http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/13818/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.+Build+1935

Oblivion Lost is the old version of Shadow of Chernobyl from 2004.

Due to popular demand, GSC Game World has released an old version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl - 'xrCore' build 1935, Oct 18 2004.

Originally announced in November 2001 for a 2003 release, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost as it was known then) was renowned for its long development cycle and frequent delays.

Whilst in development, numerous video clips and hundreds of screenshots were circulated showcasing the game's X-ray graphics engine which featured HDR rendering, parallax and normal mapping, soft shadows, motion blur, widescreen support, weather effects and day/night cycles.

The game was also hailed for its proprietary ALife artificial intelligence engine, where NPCs would accomplish tasks, combat, rest, feed and sleep. The non-scripted and innovative nature of the characters meant that there were an unlimited number of random quests.

However, when S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl was finally released in March 2007, much of what was promised had been cut or changed, such as using vehicles, monsters and many of the role-playing elements.

Now GSC Game World has released a build from 2004 which utilised a completely different physics engine than the one used in the final retail version. This build is fully playable and contains all of the original levels as well as those that were cut such as Dead City, Swamp and Generators.
