Think it was either super mario or teenage mutant ninja turtles on the nintendo NES, remember having a circle-shaped wound in my thumb due to the stupid control pad's button.
Also i remember playing duck hunt where you had to point the orange pistol at the TV and then shoot, lol.
Hah duck Hunt yes classic.I remember when i was pointing the GUN at the TV screen to shoot them.Or a remake of it "Shooting Cans" .Oh bloody memories. Was playing sega games then watching Johnny Bravo (cartoonnetwork) lol
First game I played was Pong on an Atari console. This was in the days before cartridges or the like, there were six games on the console. You plugged it into the back of the TV, selected a game and away you went. Complete with the iconic one button joystick.
All the games consisted of either black or white squares on a blue background. I remember Pong (it was called "Tennis", the games all had a sporting theme) and a shooting game (line the white square up on top of a black square and press the button). Can't remember the other four.
Can't remember the exact name of the console. They weren't split between manufacturers like they are these days with each having their own console. Atari merely produced the chipset. Various manufacturers then built consoles based around the chip and generally sold the bundle under their own (often meaningless) names.
First game i played was Saboteur on Spectrum First game i played on PC was Bananas, a game in which you needed to manually set an angle to throw a banana at a monkey First game i ever finished was Mickey Mouse in the Land of Illusion on Sega Genesis (MegaDrive) First game i owned (went to store, payed for it by myself and took it home) was The Dig First game that really made me believe that games is what i want to do in this life was Planscape: Torment. To this day i thank this game.
