Shattered Horizon
2010-03-14 7:34 AM PDT
Since the ages of quake and cs mankind gas graved for a shooter game with zero gravity, well now we have it. The game itself doesn't cost much, but for obvious reasons. What's up with the default controls, and what's up with so many buttons for rolling yourself x,y,z axis anyway, seesh, we get it - were in space, but don't over do it. The controls are a bit sluggish and overall game-play is slow. Guess how long it takes to make a meele hit and to actually land it? Go make a coffee and come back and I bet your character is still finishing the move. I had high expectations for this game but quite frankly I'm disappointed, it's not all rubbish, it's fun to play itself but the gaming experience you get is quite down retarded. That said, Quake/CS zero gravity mod > Shattered Horizon.

Heroes of Newerth
2009-08-13 1:34 AM PDT
The game is still in closed beta, there still good number of heroes missing, since the game is almost literally a DotA copy cat, but with lots of improvements since this is only dota gameplay, unlike WC3's dota Mod were it all started. So if you have played DotA, Demigod, Armada Online, your going to love this, awesome graphics, smoothly programmed and well balanced(for now). Some heroes clearly are above other heroes. There are counter heroes for each hero basically, it kinda sucks that you don't know them in the beginning or you don't even know the items yet so you'll get kicked, banned and sweared on a lot, quit immature community, it lacks of supervision but then again, were there to play, not to entertain 13 year old little boys. I don't have much to say, it's an awesome game and I'm enjoying myself, maybe because I've been a huge fan of DotA games, who knows.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
2009-08-09 6:46 AM PDT
So usually people learn from previous mistakes and I don't know, maybe umm, improve and fix a product that got a shit shower of bad reviews and angry email? No you silly customers, we just like humping the leg as along as we can and steal from people who got a good movie experience, again. It's the same shit, in a different box, with multilayer option now. Look, even if sugarcoat piece of crap and make it looks tasty, it will still taste like shit once you eat it. Just by adding more characters to play with and even an online mode, it's still crap. The game hasn't improved by much from it's predecessor, it's still bluky, hard to control and response is horrible, who ever agreed that this product was ready to be released should be slapped silly. But maybe that's point, maybe they promised too many dates promising to release it right with the movie, maybe that's where they fucked up, who knows. Honestly, I could wait for years just to get a good game, heck lets look Duke Nukem, the latest game was under development for over 10 years, for now they have stopped developing it(or so I have herd) and I still think it would be the greatest game alive once it comes out. So back to my point, this game has a nice cream filling of shit, it's the same stuff you got before in a different box.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
2009-08-02 11:51 PM PDT
You see, I'm a serious gamer, and I take my shit real seriously, seriously. So some asshole from Poland decided to make a shoot, woo! What ever could go possibly wrong there, right? So your some bum in the old fake western who surprisingly has managed to pass a physical test and actually become a significant commander, sort of. You will be dragged into some war fighting against jankies or fighting with them I don't have a clue, since the game was short, and boring with boring weapons and annoyingly boring dialogues. Honestly, just to get some shuteye on a Sunday afternoon I played this to get a nice little nap, but then I woke up later and remembered I had to finish this piece of junk. It all becomes a huge big blur after that, I would have found watching paint dry much more interesting. So the game is boring, short and a Polish guy made it, what's sad is that the high point of this game is when you get to use the "Z" button. Everything goes into slow-mo and you get to pick targets who to shoot, but fuck that, we've all played max payne at least 2 times now, right?

Street Fighter IV
2009-07-15 3:45 AM PDT
There are two kinds of comic/cartoon kind of games. There are the ones that are good, like Battlefield Heroes, or Drift City, and then theres Street Fighter IV. It's like their not even trying, they just hired a room full of monkeys to write random rubbish in C++ and gave them windows paint. I've played tons of fighting games, but this one really takes the cake, fuck, even online stick games are better. Lets talk about Special moves, usually you have arrows and then button combinations, but the monkeys said fuck that shit and now instead of arrows we have, full and half circles, some zig-zag shapes and other weird stuff that's supposed to be movement keys. Each hero has like 2 super special attacks and basically they use the same exact keys, except one has 2 more same buttons in the end and... ah fuck it, this game is horrible and should be flushed. Good bye, I'm going to play stick figure games online.

Battlefield Heroes
2009-06-29 7:49 AM PDT
People keep moaning about unfairness that you can buy extra perks with real money, like x2 exp or cooler clothes for your character etc. but all I see is an awesome game! To be honest I've had my beta key for months now, but I didn't bother really playing this game, since I really don't like TF2 and this seemed to be a total ripoff I thought I was going to suck just as bad, but boy was I wrong, and let's not forget that the game just came out of beta and a lot of content is still missing. This game doesn't have anything groundbreaking new tech, nor does it have giant boobed female characters, but it does have lots of good guys, bad guys and explosions. Thumbs up.

Ghostbusters
2009-06-25 9:15 PM PDT
The new game published by Atari, unlike the Wii or PS2 version, PC one does not have multiplayer, no biggie, that MP sucks anyway. The game bases of the movie, with a new addition: your the new 5th recruit and get to hunt down ghosts and fight the marshmallow and so on, its a real blast from the past. While the controls are kinda awkward, and o-so super sensitive, the humor and very nice graphics made up for it. It did not however felt much like a ... a game. More of a story where you have to use wasd in order to see it. But nevertheless, it's entertaining, funny as hell and brings back some memories. So in conclusion the gameplay is too horrible, don't buy it. Download with a torrent instead, try it out and start cleansing your harddrive with holly water to cast this shittines outta' there.

Prototype
2009-06-24 7:52 AM PDT
First impressions: totally blown away! Second impressions: blown away even further! Ever since God of War , I haven't player anything else like this. There was so no ends, no pauses, it just kept on coming. So imagine X-men Wolverine + God of War + Spiderman web of shadows and programmed as well as CoD4, and this is what you get. Add a little bit of awesome and thats Prototype for you. It may not be the uniquest game of all but it's certainly one of the funnest and entertaining one to play. There was some down sides with the intelligence of the AI but it's minimal, the game is good, enjoy it as long as you can. Totally worth it.

Plants Vs Zombies
2009-06-19 11:19 PM PDT
While most of the games have the "adventure mode" or the real game content so to say devised maybe with 9/10th is the game itself and 1/10th is the mini games or extras, which is good, you get to play and enjoy the game just a little bit longer to remeniss the time wasted playing this game. But thats not the story with Plants vs Zombies. You get 1/5th of the real game and rest of that is crap mini games, puzzles and some weird gardening shit where you have to wait or check in every once in a while to take care of your plants, laaaaaaaame. But until that point of the game, the first 10 hours of actual gameplay wes very entertaining and fun, great music. Just like world of goo, innovative new kind of game(not saying that tower defenses are good, but this is the only good commercial one, shuddup! the only one!). Great fun when you need to waste some time.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
2009-05-30 3:11 AM PDT
So you like those generic hack and slash games, duplicate copies God of War with a little coating of shitcrust, and this is what you get. Nothing stunning, yet entertaining enough to waste a whole day on it. It was fun but got repetitive real quick, there were these mini bosses and huge mutants you had to fight with from time to time, they just seemed to pop out of nowhere for no good reason. So do the same thing, jump, avoid, roll, hit, special, jump... anyway, difficulty curve? forget about it, nothing changes, just charge in and show them your penis to keep things interesting because nothing else ain't happening thats going to surprise you when it comes to new opponents. The puzzles are rubbish. If you liked god of war your going to enjoy this, but you'll have a hangover the fallowing day.
