Hello again, it has been awhile sins I last 'blogged', so this one will be a long one.

Recently there was a dissociation about consoles (or as I like to call them, Con-souls) on a forum I go to. This dissociation lead me to call people who play XBox 360 retards.

This, for some reason, was take as a 'I don't like con-souls' comment. This was, in fact, wrong. I never said that the Xbox was for retards, I said that, and I quote: 'Only retards have 360's'. What I meant by this was that the majority of 360 plays are, in fact, retards, because of the way they act in the on-line aspect of the game. Saying things like 'your mom' to everything, and complain about getting killed all the time.

I also said that people who have a PS3 are, and I will quote again: 'PS3s go to the people who are compensating for something.'

This is, in effect, sort of true. I mean, there BIG. And there black. And they have 'Uber' graphics which get beaten by the PC within 2 months. And, on top of that, there 1K. For a console!? WTF! They were all 300 or so in the last gene, now there 1 FUCKING K WHAT THE FUCK! Consuls are suppose to be for gamers with a REALLY low bugger. Yer, fine, it has Bluray, but you can get a BluRay player for a PC for only $125.

Now, for the last of the Consoles, the Wii. In my opinion, it is the beast thing to happen to gaming, not just for Nintendo, but for EVERY ONE. Why? Well, it has a new way to play games. Motion control. Just think, you are playing, say, COD4, but instead of uesing a game pad, or mouse/keyboard combo, you are actually aiming, actually lining up a shot on the enemy. Then there is the price. It is about $400. This is the cheapest out of all of them. It gives a new way to play games, and has games the hole family will like (Mario any one?).

I have my opinion, what yours?

Old games. There hard to find, and when you do find them, you have to muck around, trying to figure out how to get the game working on Vista, or if it is a RELAY old game, on XP. Luckily, this could become a thing of the past, thanks to a website could GOG.com

Good Old Games, or GOG, is still in Beta, but is fast becoming a great place to not just get old games that are no longer in shops, but it is also becoming a great community to be around.

There game collection is, at the moment, small, but all of them are good. Games like Fallout, MDK, Sacrifice, and many others are there for $5 to $10 US. There is also no DRM on any of the games, which makes it even better. And all of them are guaranteed to work on XP and VISTA (just make shore you have all the DX9 files in the proper spot on Vista!!)

The even have a Wish list, were you vote for Games you would like to see on there, and if it ant there, you can add it to the list yourself!

In closing, GOG.com, I think, will be a great place to get old games, and will become one of the 7 wonders of the Gaming world!!!!

Ok, so, there is this game. This game is EV Nova. It is one of the greatest games I know about. It is a space style game, were you trade, fight, and explore. Why is this a great game?

Well, for one, it was made by Australians. It is a 2D top-down style game, and is addictive as hell, even when you die.

The main thing that gets me in to this game, I think, is the way you start. You are just sitting out in the middle of space, next to a planet. You can dock at the planet, or go flying around.

I will give you a quick heads-up about this bit though. If you want to do the tutorial, then you will need to dock at the planet. and save often, you never know when you will run in to a system that has a big battle going on.

I have also started playing Hitman Blood Morney. I am up to Flatline, and am finding the urge to just go in, and kill everyone a bit to much sometimes, but when you do do a mission properly, it is very intense.

Ok, so I got TF2 going today, thanks to the free weekend that is on (WOOO). I jump in to a 2Fort 24/7 server, and play for almost 4 hours strait. I was in on the last free weekend, and would have got it, but had no money. This week I am getting a new computer, and once I have that, I will be getting it in the Orange Box. WOOT.

I have also been playing some Titan Quest, which has been good. I have finally, after getting confused in Egypt, and re-starting about 10 or so time, I am in the 3rd act! WOO!

And I am very much exited about SPORE. I have got it pre-ordered at my local EBGames, and thanks to the Healed Sun, I will be getting a $15 discount on it. YA ME!

In closing, I AM WINA!

Gaming. Its what we do. But, we are seeing so many games that are the same, it is getting stupid. Why are there all these games that are basic the same, but with a different UI? Its because we buy them. We buy them, because there new. Not because they add anything. Its only because there NEW.

Yer, new games are good, but what makes them different to old games? Graphics is only 1/4 of the expires. Then there is sound, which is a another 1/4, and finally the game play, which is the other 2/4. The rezone I split this in to four, and not three, is to show you what its all about.

The game play should be the most impotent thing in a game, not pretty graphics.

Crysis is a good example. Yes, it is a good game, but that's all it is, Good. There is no new stuff. And if you think for a second that the nano-suet is 'new', think again. All it is is Super powers, but using Technology instead of some science experiment. But, there is hope.


SPORE

Spore is hope. Why? Because it is the only game, that I know of, that is doing things differently. Its not a generic shooter, with some B grade Si-Fi or Modern combat. It is letting you do things, unlike other games, were you would follow the story written for you, even in games like GTA. SPORE, on the other hand, lets you do things your why a lot more than other games. You will be able to create you own crazy critter, and make up the story as you go!

If there is any hope for new types of gaming, in a commercial world, then SPORE will try.
