Pop and Computer Hardware don't play nice

2 weeks ago I was watching a movie on my computer, having a good time, with the computer working flawlessly for over 3 years without a hiccup and having the computer be on 24/7 all the time. I decided to mess it all up in a matter of second by grabbing my cup wrong, newly filled with a fresh can of pop, and spilled it on my desk, which subsequently spilled onto the top of my computer case and down the top exhaust fan.

What did I do? At first, I froze and then I immediatly turned it off. But by then, the damage was done.

I tried drying everything off and washing it with distilled water, but the soda went into too many connectors too fast.

I fried my motherboard, main graphics card (secondary one still worked), and TV tuner (not sure how that got messed up). I bought all those parts again and my computer is fine again. Although I can't really say that it made it a whole lot faster. But fast nonetheless.

So, one lesson learned: never spill coke on computer and leave it sitting for more than 3 seconds.
