Runes of Magic
2009-04-05 8:50 AM PDT
The 1st F2P (Free to Play) MMORPG that is very similiar to its counterpart World of Warcraft aka P2P (Pay to Play) in gamestyle (graphics and UI = User Interface).

However there is'nt 2 Factions in RoM (Runes of Magic). They got 2 types of servers. PvE and the PvP. There is also Duels and I believe future Arena's are on the way.

One thing its got is a interesting system to where you can choose 2 types of classes and switch between them. The game has Knights, Rogues, Wizards, Scouts, Warriors and Priest. What you can do is combine 2 classes together (One being a primary and the other a secondary).

At level 10 you can choose your other class. So if you wanted to make a rogue / wizard, knight / priest or even a scout / warrior, your mix combination of classes is up to you.

Anyways the game is free to play but does sell 2 types of currency (gold and diamonds). Gold you get by doing quests and diamonds are either bought with real money or traded. The game has a ITEM SHOP in game and of course the Diamond currency is used for this shop.

There is a Mailbox system and Auction house. You can level up in several professions from mining, herbalism, woodcutting and tailoring. Then you can get into Armor, Weapon and Alchemy as the main professions.

Is the game worth playing, well one thing. It's FREE and 2nd, one of the best F2P games I have come acrossed.

There is latecy issus (at least to me), but the game is always packed with people and does have RAID Dungeons even at lower levels.

The game MAX LEVEL is 50 and yes there are mounts, in fact you can get mounts as early as level 2.

This game to me is defiently a nice F2Pm from your P2P mmorpg.

Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures
2008-05-05 1:21 PM PDT
In 'Conan' the players encounter a dark, lush, violent and sinful universe, presented in fantastic graphics and stunning 7.1 surround audio. In a world filled with cruel gods, mythical creatures, lost civilizations and a struggling human race, the mighty barbarian has finally seized the throne as king of Aquilonia. But Conan's rule is on the brink of chaos, spiraling towards the doom of ancient evils.

In this twisted fantasy world, dark magic and brutal combat lurks around every corner, and each man and woman must carve their own unique destiny under Conan's reign. In the true vision of Robert E. Howard's dark universe, it's now time for you to become a messenger of death.

In addition to incredible graphics and sound, the game will be filled with unique features like the "Real Combat" engine; a revolutionary new multi-point melee system which allows the players to swing their weapons where they direct it, in real-time!

This easy to learn and fun melee system lets the players truly feel they are on the battlefield, and goes head-on against the formulaic nature of online RPG combat. In 'Conan' you can also, for the first time in an online RPG, create player-made battle formations where you can command NPC's and other players in combat, making for epic multiplayer battles.

The multiplayer game also allow the players to form guilds and lay siege to enemy castles, letting their catapults sing their merry song of death as the enemy is crushed to a pulp.

Age of Conan is consistently mentioned as one of the most anticipated PC games in development. It has received close to twenty magazine covers and more than fifteen awards, including numerous “Best MMO of E3” awards and the official “Best Online Game of Show” award at the GC convention 2007. Age of Conan is a key title in Microsoft's Games for Windows line-up, as well as a showcase title for nVidia. Age of Conan is set for release on May 20th, 2008.

Tabula Rasa
2007-11-29 12:17 PM PST
Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa is an MMORPG from NCsoft, designed in part by some of the creators of Ultima Online such as Richard Garriott. The game is an RPG that blends certain shooter aspects into the combat system. It was officially released to retail on November 2, 2007, with customers that pre-ordered the game allowed access to the live servers from October 30, 2007. The game requires a monthly subscription to play like most other MMORPG games.

Tabula Rasa is about humanity's last stand against an alien race called "The Bane". The story takes place in the near future on two or three planets, which will be in a state of constant conflict between the AFS (Allied Free Sentients) and The Bane. The term tabula rasa means scraped tablet or clean slate in Latin, referring to a fresh start, or starting over.

According to the developers, the game will include the ability for players to influence the outcome of a war between the player characters and the NPCs.

WRAP UP!

Great combat system; "living world" battlefields; class and clone system; base sieges; fun instances; good storyline.
