The formation of 9A and JAM..
2008-07-05 5:03 PM PDT
Our class is now D/Ced.. Heres a review of how we got together and what we did throughout the years..

At the beginning of Grade 4, I was pretty worried about making new friends... I didn't think that anyone would be friendly.. But right when i step in, and theres a flurry of friendly hellos and waves. Then I feel accepted and quickly make some new friends. Aymen was a quick friend; I don't exactly remember how I made friends with him (probably asked me for food lol) but we've endured many hardships together. There was also Josh, and Kajan, and all those other people which were also pretty amazing friends. But unfortunately I haven't spoken to those guys in a while (but I still know their phone numbers LOL).. Maybe I'll see them again in High school or university. Then came Grade 5.. It was a pretty good year, but I don't remember anything about it so i'll skip that year.. ^_^ Aymen and I also worked together on projects, and we also played tag or something at recess (Jail tag and monkey tag xD). In Grade 6, thats when Mr. Ho came. He looked a bit unsure of himself so I decided to make friends with him. I accomplished that in a very unusual way, but I didn't know any better in grade 6 so i stole his fries >=D Then I discovered that he was pretty much kinda like me: azn, small, smart, etc.." and for some reason, I went to his house on the first day of school XD I think i saw him before in kindergarten though.. Well Aymen, Alan, and I always hung out together and worked together in group projects. We didn't have an acronym for our group yet; we just called each other by our names. Our teacher was Mrs. Medhurst, and she was a pretty cool teacher. She had a pet snake that was called Nikita and scared the crap out of Aymen. One time, everyone did really bad on a unit exam because everyone studied the wrong things, and we all got like C or D's lol...

Grade 7 was pretty life-changing for me.. I met a whole bunch of people who were friendly and nice. Now, all of them are my friends and we're a big group of friendz ^^ Some of the teachers in Junior High were nice, some of them were pretty bad. Miss Chorney was kind of a half-half. She always assigned really stupid projects (like the scrapbook where we all got low D's except Carol >.>. Some of the projects were fun, but overall they were pretty bad.. BUT- She always gave us candy And that is where we formed JAM.. We discovered that our names (Jason, Alan, MO [Aymen]) could be formed to make JAM! So thats where we had our formation of JAM. In grade 8, we were halfway done Junior High. The Grade 9s were all really tall xD. The grade 7s were pretty stupid but we ignored their immature and foolish ways =P Our homeroom teacher was Mrs. Hetherington, and she was pretty nice. Just a bit crazy... Lol jk. She was a nice science teacher, but the best one. was Ms Dekens. She was a really nice person, and made science fun. That's where I made chemistry, electricity and other sciences my favourite subjects (And math. You can't forget math). Unfortunately, Ms. Dekens left Crestwood for Parkview and it was as we were all struck with giant hammers in our heart and our blood was coming out and we were drastically losing blood and in a few minutes we would be dead and gone from the world. Yes. She was that great of a teacher. We all missed her deeply and gave her a thank-you card.

She introduced us to a sweet science program, which was called Rube Goldberg. We were only allowed to have 4 people in a group, and they were JAM and scott dabbs. We formed the group JAM'D (Scotts last name). We took 168, yes count em ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY EIGHT times to make the rube goldberg machine work. We are all screaming like crazy! One time, it worked but STUPID MO DIDNT TURN ON THE STUPID CAMERA -_-. we spent like 3 days at aymens house and his mom was literally telling us to get lost lol. We achieved first place in the contest ^^ and got a $50 gift certificate for chapters.

Grade 9. Our final year together. This year, I must say, was amazing. We spent a lot of time together doing some wicked things, like singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall, cussing at Arts Alive.. etc. etc... I knew everyone in my class, and as did everyone else. We were a big chain of friends, and I pretty much knew everyone at school. Everyday, the soccer gang (JAM, Gary, Anthony, E, Pokemon Master [Lol allan], Henry, and Jacob played at lunch (forgive me if i missed someone), and we all played after school (except GARY who went home to play his little CS). Playing soccer has actually really improved my skills and same as everyone else. Allan is So FREAKIN FAST and he runs with his hands behind his back with his head swooped down as hes about to do a skull bash xD. The end of the year was nearing.

Also, one really stupid thing was that 9A was separated and combine with stupid 9C (with the exception of some people like dam and lam [Lol that rhymes]) and Gym and science were not as fun =[. But it was over and grade 9 was suddenly done. Grad was really fun, as we ate and then we danced. It was a party for finishing grade 9. After that, we had FINALS NUUUUUUUUUUUUU. But I did exceptionally well on all of them except science cuz i phailed :'(. Then it was awards. I got the pascal and honours award. Guess who the top learners were?? Carol and emma. lol obviously T_T. Then it was the Grade 9 FINAL PARTY (for me) Andrea Pon's party. It was really fun.. We played flags, I ate 7 hotdogs lol, had a secret bongo (secret santa), and made a, get this, HUMAN PYRAMID. It failed, so we made it laying on top of each other (that sounds wrong, but it was really fun Lol) Then we had a million pictures taken and put on facebook. I'll never forget that day... ANYWAYS.. Others had Dan's party, but most people in our little group didn't go. Then 9A was separated... For the longest time ever we were having a blast, then it all ended.. JAM was separated, BLACKER was separated, and everyone else too. (Brittany Laura Andrea Carol Kate Emma Rhea). I'll see half of my class in Ross Sheppard, but the others that are going to MAC and OSA ill miss. They'll always be in my hearts and I know that one day, we'll have a reunion and get together again. Maybe by then I'll be 100'10'' lol.. It'll be really fun seeing each other again, and I'm looking forward to that day... 9A will always be an amazing memory to me, and I'll never forget it.

P.S. When i see Allan Dam again, He'll probably have little toy pokeballs and a hat that is the same as Ash's. He'll probably be chuckin pokemon cards at people and yellin DUN MAKE ME SCREEECHHHHHHHH! Lawl. Keep in touch Grade 9's.

Lol yeah, our class was awesome. This blog just reminded me of the sadness that I ditched a week ago >.>. Oh well I'll never forget our class. It was too pro. We worked with each other, fought alongside each other, and laughed with (and at) each other.

P.S. You really need to put some paragraph formatting in that..lol

Interesting post.

Grade 7 was how I miraculously found my way into your group of three, JAM. You sat in front of me in math and I kept poking you because your attitude didn't seem serious enough to me. That lead to my getting to know you better and eventually becoming a part of your trio. I've never been able to identify myself with any group/clique, but always a person who didn't hate you.

As to Miss Chorney, I'd have to say three things about her (which clearly shows that I disagree with you):
1. She is kind-hearted and has good intentions
2. Her attitude is 30% bad because she's very narrow-minded
3. She was 80% a bad teacher because all she could get us to do was memorize hard, cold facts and give meaningless projects.

On a side note, I got out of the scrapbook assignment with 80-90% thanks to a little help I got from a family that had minor Japanese relations and a father who knew how to do not research, but RESEARCH!

Your victory in the Rube Goldberg is commendable. I have to admit that at my birthday party that year when I invited five of you and Mo couldn't get permission, I got TWO Chapters gift cards that added up to $40.

As to grade 9, I think your comments just summed up what some of the others wrote, but what you wrote was meaningful too.

Jas, I encourage you to work hard, listen to your parents, and practice hard for your grade 10 exam. They don't treat you like a student or a kid anymore - you're playing some pieces that my teacher could play at a concert where he charges people $25 a ticket. Most importantly, read your Bible and keep in touch with God, who will guide you for the rest of your life as long as you will trust in Him. I wish I could have done more to help you, but I didn't feel like it was within my ability, so the most I can do now is wish you the best and pray for you.

Keep in touch!

Lol, I never knew you had the patience to write more than me xD.
