5000 Series, MMORPG's, and STUFF!!!!!!!!

Well alas, most of the rumors and information turned out to be completely false or just not entirely accurate.
The 5850 is actually a $300 card that, unfortunately, does take up two slots. What does this give you? Disgusting frame rates in pretty much every game. The graphics card is actually MORE powerful than the GTX 285 and for about $50 to $100 cheaper. This card is an outstanding piece of art which proves ATI's dominance over the demands of the people.
The 5870 is a completely powerhouse. It has officially retaken the crown from nVidia's GTX 295, which dominated the market far longer than it should have. The strange thing is that it's still about the same price as a GTX 285. It's dual-slot configuration was expected and is apparently the way of the feature. It runs Crysis like it's a joke, and it plans to hold that title for some time. The card markets for about $390 to $420 and is proof that ATI is the people's voice. We wanted a fairly affordable card that destroys Crysis. Introducing the 5870.
There is a downside to all of this, ATI has also proven that it STILL cannot handle the drivers as well as nVidia can. The drivers aren't entirely compatible with the new Windows 7 but most people have voiced that it's not really that big of a deal. ATI just needs to kinda wake up for a few hours to write some more drivers and then it can take a well-deserved rest.
Well the slight decline in the MMORPG area decided to just go Bat-shit crazy and fall on it's face. Although World of Warcraft is holding strong and surviving the massacre, even Blizzard MUST be feeling the affects. Although it's "growing" most of those accounts are doubles and the actual UNIQUE player count is still stuck at about 7 million, a massive decline from the 10-12 million that stood as of early 2008.
Borderlands introduced itself to the world and was an instant success and has proven itself worthy of poking it's nose into the Top 10 on XFire and #3 on Xbox Live. Despite the fact that it requires a rather disturbing amount of power from your computer, most players are so entertained by the game play that they're willing to sacrifice the graphics for the smoothness and fun.
nVidia has yet to answer the call from ATI, who stole the crown away from them with the 5000 series. People are starting to wonder... what is nVidia brewing in their pot of insanity? If the GTX 300 series is anything like the 200 series... it will break new grounds and new skulls to take back the crown.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 may not be everything the people have asked for. Although the Xbox will have no trouble in finding players, the PC may find itself... lacking. Apparently Activision/Blizzard and Infinity Ward decided that Dedicated Servers were a thing of the past. Maybe but now the ability to hold clans in the game seems a bit stretched. The game play and graphics look amazing, there aren't any Zombies (why would you EVER TAKE THAT OUT!!!), and the PC community just put up a huge boycott against MW2. Not a good combination to have.
The flip side is that Activision/Blizzard and Infinity War would NEVER release a game that would leave it's players wanting. Although Treyarch hasn't always delivered, they introduced the most player game type of any game EVER. Nazi Zombies. Peaking at 16,000,000 players, it became the #1 most played game. So I doubt that they'll just leave us hanging and wanting more. We'll just have to wait and see.
