2007-07-08 9:20 AM PDT
Hello Everyone!

Are you watching the game right now?
We are as excited as you are!

You can ask the CS World Champions in Counter-Strike anything you want right after the match has ended in the Xfire Press Conference. You can ask your questions live to the team on stage.

Just add the account "chatteox" to your friends list and ask the champions what you've always wanted to know.

I was just visiting and watching the first round:

The atmosphere is just mad up there... 5000 people or more screaming!
You gotta be here!
This is just mad!

Stay tuned for more!

Really cool things happening!
2007-07-08 5:39 AM PDT
We really wanted you all to notice this, so we are creating a separate entry of it as well:

We have removed the PES final press conference, we are focused on giving you a wonderful experience with the CS 1.6 one instead, and we will also be changing the way it works.

We will have a guy up on stage, or close to it, that will be asking your questions live to the world champions. We will also be taking turns with the journalists, so there will be plenty of user questions getting answers.

Do you want to get your nick seen on community pages all over the world when the transcripts go up? Add Chatteox to your Xfire friends list and stand by in around 3 hours (18.00 CEST), then we will start the session.

It's either NOA or PGS, so regardless of which team that wins, it will be a BIG thing.

/Hans

And here's a treat for you all, this is a video of Mathieu hurting his back, he was going to show off for all of you, but ended up failing. It's fun to watch!

Warcraft 3 Grand Final
2007-07-08 4:25 AM PDT
I’m just back from the Warcraft 3 final: WE-Soju from Korea versus 4K-Creolophus from Norway.

We have a transcript online from the press conference of the Warcraft 3 World Champion. Just head over to the Chatteox Blog to see what the champion was asked by Xfire users and by the press.

It’s been an incredible game, Soju was really dominating. He won 2-0 and honestly, he never seemed to be losing it at any moment. The first game was a mirror match, with Night Elves, both summoning the same DH hero with archers but Soju really went aggressive, like jumping on Creolophus, almost rushing him. Creolophus got really overwhelmed and never got back in the game, though he fought to the very last moment. The strategy of Soju was totally fitted to outplay Creolophus, probably set before the game even started. We saw nice micro from both players, Soju saving his naga hero with almost no life on a nice ambush by Creolophus. I must say Soju seemed extremely confident, he did anticipate very well his opponent moves.

Game 2 wasn’t a real mirror as Creolophus switch his strategy to something more slowly with huntresses and priestess of the moon hero. He went for a second base quite early, hoping in a longer game to take the economical part on his side. But again, Soju discovered the scenario Creolophus had in mind really fast; he must have studied him a lot. Soju decided to go for the Panda hero as a great support, and few creeping minutes later Soju comes in Creolophus first base. He knew he had to take the game fast to win. Soju population is 60/60 with DH(2) and Panda(3), full of archers and enchantresses. The first encounter in the wood leaves one of Creolophus’s huntress dead, and he is totally outnumbered when Soju reach his first base. He launches enchantress production too late to keep up with Soju perfectly circling the base. There is not much to do for Creolophus. It’s GG time for Norway.

Very nice game to watch, Soju was so dominating here. Though he won against him in the first stage round of the...

Hi everyone,

Here we are for the last day at the Electronic Sports World Cup 2007. Today, Xfire will be having live press conferences where you will be able to ask your questions from home to 3 World Champions! To take part in these press conferences, simply add "chatteox" to your Xfire friends list. The exact schedule for the conferences is the following:

18:00 CEST: Press conference with the Counter-Strike World Champions.

While I'm here, being the King at predicting, let me tell you that my money is on PGS from Poland to win the World Title in Counter-Strike (even though they're down 0-1 in their semi-final as I write).

CS female world champions!
2007-07-07 10:11 AM PDT
So, the lucifer event just ended. It was a whole lot of fun. We were basicly goofing around together in the Xfire room, but I'm sure SOS-Jolt had the time of his life. Lucifer was a really cool guy, and the MYM owner wasn't half bad either. I recorded a lot of it with my cellphone, I just have to edit it down.

Thanks to all the users that attended, and we hope that even more of you will show up to ask questions to the CS Female world champions, that will be live on xfire later tonight, in about 1½ hours. We will get plenty of tasty picutre, but really need your questions to make it as good as it can be.

So, add Chatteox to your xfire friendslist, and start posting questions already.

Chat and play with Lucifer at 18:00 CEST...
2007-07-07 7:08 AM PDT
Hey there!

We're proud to present a very nice opportunity to all the Warcraft 3 lovers out there.
You're gonna be able to play with Lucifer from Meet Your Makers live here on Xfire.
Lucifer is the current world champion in Warcraft 3.

Just add the account "chatteox" to play and chat with Lucifer.

He will be here from 18:00 to 19:00 CEST.

First, we're gonna do a live chat session in which you can ask him everything you ever wanted to know about the Korean Pro.

Afterwards, you get the chance to play with an FFA Warcraft 3 game.

Make sure to drop by at 18:00 and get the chance to chat and play with this great WC3 player.

Update:

Here are some shots we've taken during his match. SOS-Jolt from Canada was the lucky one to play against Lucifer. It was a funny match. GG Jolt.

/Torsten

And here's a picture of Neo from PGSPokerStrategy.cc.

You may wonder why we don't do the hats any more. The answer is simple, they were stolen from us, so we actually don't even hats to wear for ourselves. It's a horrible crime, but we're still happy, even considering that.

We also had a really nice press conference with the Trackmania champions, you can read the transcript on http://www.xfire.com/blog/chatteox
