Veterans Day the reason why we pause.......

WHEREAS the 11th of November 1918, marked the cessation of the most destructive, sanguinary, and far reaching war in human annals and the resumption by the people of the United States of peaceful relations with other nations, which we hope may never again be served, and
WHEREAS it is fitting that the recurring anniversary of this date should be commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding between nations; and
WHEREAS the legislatures of twenty-seven of our States have already declared November 11 to be a legal holiday: Therefore be it Resolved by the Senate (the House of Representatives concurring), That the President of the United States is requested to issue a proclamation calling upon the officials to display the flag of the United States on all Government buildings on November 11 and inviting the people of the United States to observe the day in schools and churches, or other suitable places, with appropriate ceremonies of friendly relations with all other peoples.

It is the SOLDIER, not the campus organizers, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the SOLDIER, who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag. AMEN.

The future of gaming...

I am loving the new Call of Duty: World at War Beta as well as the rest of this title. The progress of the games over the past few years are just amazing. I love the fact that the games are not only technically much better but are moving more to a tactical FPS! The tactical point of view , in my own opinion, just rocks. The thought of not just running and gunning makes the price of the games much more attractive to an old fart like me. And with improvements in voice in the various games is very cool as well. The ability to communicate with team members while in play will improve the ability to own some arse on our games.
