Downtime and a new toy
2009-03-20 6:29 AM PDT
It’s been quite a while since I last wrote here. Since last time, I’ve just been playing a lot of the new games that have been coming out and of course my computer broke down again. To be more specific it was my graphic card that died while I was playing GTA IV. Suddenly after alt-tabbing out of the game, these blue stripes appeared across the screen. So I quickly turned off the computer, pulled out the graphic card, created a warranty case with the store I bought it at and then shipped it off.

So a few days later the guy from the store calls me and tells me that, because it only had like 1 month and 3 weeks left on the warranty, they then decided to let the manufacturers take care of it. I knew I was in for a long wait, so after 2 weeks of moping over not having a computer, I caved in and bought a Nintendo DS light (something I’ve been thinking about doing for some time) Oh and a week later, the graphic card arrived …. So I am now the proud owner of a DS light and Pokemon Diamond

Hardware trouble, Fallout, Sims2 and Bio...
2008-06-05 12:10 PM PDT
The 5th of May, my computer broke down, or rather my motherboard did. Everything booted up fine, except my mouse, keyboard and monitor. First I tried connecting a new mouse, keyboard and monitor, but that didn’t change anything. After that there wasn’t really anything I could do, so I started looking through my papers for my receipt because it was still covered by the warranty. Two days later it was shipped off to the guys I bought it from, it would have been a day later if it weren’t for that lazy ass delivery company, seems Post Danmark can’t carry packages weighing more that 20 kg (mine weighed 20.5 kg!) Unless they get some sort of sticker from the firm you are sending the package to, then they can lift packages up to 50 kg. Wow, magic stickers! 2 weeks later I finally got it back with a new motherboard installed. It was two looong and boooring weeks, but at least I could borrow a laptop once in a while that had Fallout 1 and The Sims 2 + Expansions on it, so I had something to satisfy my gamer cravings.

Fallout 1

After my computer went south, I started playing Fallout 1 again to see if I could complete it on the laptop (without crashing at the cathedral) and I could, huzzah! I started out as a male vault dweller with the “gifted” perk and the “bloody mess” perk, which is my favorite choice when it comes to creating a character with the SPECIAL system. The gifted perk gives 1+ to all of your stats but lowers some of your skills at the same time, this can easily be evened out with high intellect. The bloody mess perk doesn’t boost any stats or stuff like that, it just makes it so that enemies always die in the most horrible way possible, which is just pure fun, hit a mouse with your fists and it explodes like you’ve just shot it with a shotgun, shoot a man with a minigun and they get ripped apart horizontally and shoot and mutant in the eyes with a plasma gun and all his flesh gets peeled off, leaving bones and a pile of goo, as I said, the bloody mess perk is just awesome! Battle of the kaurava system
2008-03-14 4:50 AM PDT
i've been playing warhammer 40k soulstorm for a while now.. completed the campaign with both Chaos and Dark Eldar and fighting my way through it a 3rd time with Eldar. I have really come to love this game, it's like Dark Crusade, only bigger and better.. it's got 2 new races, flying units and not a planet but a whole solar system for you to conquer. And what keeps me playing is that every race is unique in the way you have to play them.. some races have lots of units with heavy armor.. some have really sucky infantry but really awesome vehicles and some don't even have defensive structures. i'll see if i can get through the campaign with all the races hehe

Surfin' soundwaves
2008-02-17 11:41 AM PST
I just bought audiosurf via steam yesterday.. and i gotta say it's the best 12 dollars i've spent in a very long time. Anyway, audiosurf a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose. You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.

Now the game have been released so i really hope xfire will be supporting this game, because i'm prolly gonna be spenting lots of hours surfing i would highly recommend trying the audiosurf demo and try surfing to your favorite song!

Oblivion
2008-02-10 1:21 PM PST
okay so after playing 164 hours on my mystic elf i've grown pretty fond of him... but all of the sudden his stats has started to multiply everytime i change cell... wich kind of sucks.. he's a god when it comes to bashin skulls.. but it really ruins my game .. i think i might have to start over... and this time i think i'll stick to one of the lore true races... and maybe get my mods and load order sorted out too.. a shame though.. i'm gonna miss him

40k, christmas and zelda
2007-12-27 10:36 AM PST
after i did the dark crusade with tau then i started over with the orks instead, they are quite fun to play although i can't seem to figure out their population cap/waaaaagh! thingy.. every single ork takes up a portion of the pop cap but when you load a save game then the population cap get reset to match how many squads i have and not how many orks i have all in all.

I'm halfway through with the orks, but then christmas came along, my brother got a nintendo wii for christmas and is having a lan party with some of his friends, so i've put dark crusade on hold for a while and started playing the zelda game that came out for the wii.. So far i'm loving zelda, seems like there is alot to do in that game so i'm counting on having many hours of fun with that game.. one thing i can't get my mind off about zelda is that there is no voice acting in the game... only grunts, moans, yawns and so on, that's defitnaly a big minus i my book

Tau's dark crusade
2007-12-23 9:56 AM PST
finally completed the dark crusade campagin with tau... i took quite a while to conquer all of krouns with all those diffrent races to kill (for the greater good ofc ). Tau is this alien like race who claims to fight for the greater good but they are really packing some serious fire power, so how good can they be? They are supposed to be fragile and rely on stealth and such... but really.. they aren't that fragile, you just have to use them the right way and they really are a force to be reckoned with.. i loved the campaign mode with how you have to take over the planet and all so i think i'm gonna complete it one more time.. but this time i'm gonna go with something evil.. like orks or chaos >
