Though Microsoft disbanded Ensemble Studios a couple of years ago. Many of the Age of Empires team now works at ROBOT ENTERTAINMENT. Microsoft and Robot are teamed up for this latest version of the Age of Empires franchise. An enduring title still to this day with Age I, Age II, Age III, Age of Mythology, (and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds - if you want to count one using their engine).

Age of Empires III

My old friend Jax Thorne visited this past week. We reinstalled Ageof Empires III and the Asian Dynasties expansion pack this weekend, and logged a good 27 hours in on Age III on 15 maps. It was fun getting an old game out and having a weekend of gaming and grilling.
