My take on the NBN

This is for Australian readers. So, you might as well just close this now if you're not from Australia.
Ok. Let's get started.
The NBN is meant to provide 90% of Australian homes, businesses with a 100 megabits per second connection to the internet. Taking eight years to build, and at a total of 43 billion dollars.
The NBN will cost around $200 per subscriber.
But. In Japan, a user says he currently pays $60 a month for a 160 megabits a second connection from his ISP.
Today, in Japan, you can get a 160 megabit connection to the internet for 60 dollars a month. And in the US, there are ISP companies who charge $140month for a 50 megabits a second connection.
Now Australians are being told it could take up to eight years to build a massive network that’ll only provide 100 megabits.
The idea of simply providing double the speed of America over eight years doesn’t sound that appealing, much less so the idea of getting 60% of what our Japanese friends can receive today for a fraction of the price.
And another thing for you to think about.
Later in the day, when I was about to go to sleep. I checked my Hub station for latest news. And one of the news articles was, "NBN, first switch on" So, I watched the video.
And something dawned on me that, a man we all here in the internet world of Australia know as, "Stephen Conroy"
This is a man, earlier in the year wanted mass filtering systems applied to the Australian ISP networks. Filtering, child porn, porn-of offensive content, so pretty much porn, and etcetera.
He would have total control of the black list. He could order a block of any site at any time he liked.
Now let's think about this. The GOVERNMENT which HE is apart of. Is paying 43 billion dollars for a new internet system. Which, if, ISPs do not buy up slots, or areas of connection. The government will have. Meaning, HE will assume CONTROL of.

A physics question I propose to you.

As I have an active mind, things bounce in and out. And on the area of physics. I spouted this little mind fuck. That, I, came up with. I've been meaning to make this blog for quite some time. But, as you and all my friends know. I'm a lazy guy. So, this is my physics question in a nutshell.
Let's just assume, earth, as we know it, the universe. Has no existence, but a guy. And the exception of massive drilling machines.
He's on an earth like world. And for some reason, seeing these drilling machines gives him the crazy idea of drilling all the way down. And of course, we all know that, all the way down means the other side. So, he starts drilling. Let's just call him, Tim. So, Tim is drilling down, (This earth like planet is like earth, in everyway, with none of that shit in the middle, core, outer core, Let’s just say, it’s just like the real inner core, which is a solid piece of iron. So, he's drilling down this perfectly fine earth, no lava to worry about, etc.
Now, lets assume, he drills 1/3 the way down.
If Tim jumps down the hole, will he fall? Of course he will. It’s gravity at work. Now, let’s assume he goes to the other-side, and drills a hole, he also drills 1/3 the way down. And, as like before, he jumps and falls until he reaches the bottom.

So, Tim goes on his way, and connects the two holes. What now?
If Tim jumps down the first hole he dug, and is falling, what happens when he reaches the middle? Will he keep going? Which means he is falling up? Which, if you're good at physics. Makes no sense what so ever. And if he doesn’t fall up, he would have to stop in the middle. True? But what’s stopping him? There's nothing there, does that mean he will just float there, meaning somehow, he made anti-gravity?. If you're someone like an escaped mental patient and fails to understand this concept, and let’s face it. Anyone who is still reading this must be somewhat smart. Or they would have left minutes ago.
