My WoW Account Was Hacked

Well, something I thought would never happen to me happened, I got hacked.
The assailants stole everything on every single character, I have absolutely no gold, no items, nothing!
Here's how this happened, if you have been away from WoW for sometime and haven't converted your account to a battle.net account yet, please pay attention.
I was puzzled how these people got access to my account, first I thought; "Keyloggers!" but then i realized i haven't had a keylogger for about 8 years, and that one i actually installed myself deliberately to study the characteristics of one.
But then it dawned on me! When you convert your account to battle.net, you no longer use your old account name to login to World of Warcraft anymore, you use an E-MAIL ADDRESS of your choice!
I happened to choose the same crap e-mail i use for everything, including misc. WoW sites, like Curse, WoWInterface, Magello, even Xfire!
And i was lazy and used the same password (subconsciously) as my new WoW password, the same password i used to login to these other sites.
Now if you connect the dots, one random, normal, curious, mischievous user administrator from one of these fansites keep trying all kinds of combinations in their database on WoW's main site, they keep trying to login with the same login information they have on their site to your World of Warcraft account administration page! Cause most likely someone in their huge database did the same mistake as I, by using the same Login and Pass to their site as my Battle.net (accidentally)
They got in, I recieved an e-mail that my password was switched, 3 hours and 16 minutes later, i recieved another e-mail from blizzard, letting me know I was banned due to trying to exploit the game economy!
Now while this all was going on, i was sick with both Swine Flu and Pneumonia.
This has been one huge anxiety but I finally just now, 30 mins ago regained access to my account, i'm logged in and i'm waiting for my GM ticket to be answered.

SWG Newsflash: In case any of my old friends ever read this, me and Saharaa moved our characters from Scylla to Starsider.
