This is a Halo based fan-fic. Team Xen is a team of Spartans. Some time before the Spartan-2's were released on their first mission, Team Xen was Cryogenically frozen. For some reason they were reawakened just as the covenant arrived at Earth. Team Xen wasn't sent to protect Earth however, they were sent to a Covenant controlled planet to look for something..


Heather ran for her life through the dense forest. She wasn’t sure how the thing was tracking her in her SPI suit, But it was.
She looked over her shoulder and saw the big ape like beasts. They gained speed and tore through the forest after Team Xen.
“Break!” She ordered over TEAMCOM
Those Brutes weapons could tear through their armor in the blink of an eye. Heather wasn’t going to take the chance of having it wipe out her entire squad with one round.
Geoff and Welsh broke right. Jet went left. Heather didn’t see Justin; he had to be stealthing.
Heather decided to flat-out run straight ahead, hoping to draw all the fire.
She risked another glance back: one Brute veered left after Jet. Another turned right after Dylz and Welsh. The last one was still after her.
Heather ran straight for a tree. The Brute trailing her opened fire. Spikes flew through the air.
Heather reached the tree and ran right up it. She grasped onto a branch just as the spikes slammed into the tree trunk. The branch crack under the massive wait of Heather’s armor. The Spartan dropped down and faced the Brute. The alien stopped running when Heather turn to him.
The Brute tossed it’s spiker aside. He reached behind him and grabbed the Gravity Hammer that was strapped to his back.
Heather smiled. The brute let out an intimidating howl. As Heather dropped her SMG and reached for the combat knife strapped to her boot. A low rumble that some what resembled a laugh came from the brute when he saw the knife.
“Lets see who will be laughing in the next 30 seconds” Heather challenged the Brute.
They both charged at each other. Heather, being obviously faster than the brute managed to make a feint move by making it look like she would go to the left, but instead slid through his legs.
Not expecting this, the brute began to turn around but was quickly stopped when he felt as sharp pain in the back of his neck. The brute howled out in pain and spun around with his hammer outstretched.
Unluckily, Heather wasn’t fast enough to move this time. She was hit in the side of the head. She fell to the ground as the brute stopped swinging. Her head was in tremendous pain and she could taste blood. The Brute bent over and grabbed her by the neck. He lifted her off the ground and threw her, as best he could, at a tree. Heather heard something snap as her body impacted with the tree. Grabbing his weapon, the Brute slowly made his way over to the downed Spartan. Heather noticed that her visor was cracked. At the same time she noticed the Brute stop at her feat and raise his gravity hammer. He brought it down with tremendous strength onto her chest. The super soldier stopped breathing. Everything went black.
