Get xfire to recognize non-steam CSS
2009-09-02 10:08 PM PDT
OK so this is how you get your non-steam CS:S to work with xfire
Open up program files, xfire, then xfire_games.ini
Control+f : 4331
Highlight all
Paste:
[4331]
LongName=Counter-Strike: Source
ShortName=css
LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve\Counter-Strike Source\Directory
LauncherExe=cstrike.exe
DetectExe=HL2.exe
CommandLineMustNotContain[0]="\sourcemods\cspromod"
LauncherPasswordArgs=+password %UA_GAME_HOST_PASSWORD%
LauncherNetworkArgs="%UA_LAUNCHER_PASSWORD_ARGS% +connect %UA_GAME_HOST_NAME%:%UA_GAME_HOST_PORT%"
InstallHint=HL2.exe
Launch= %UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% -applaunch 240 -console %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
ServerStatusType=SOURCE
ServerGameName=Counter-Strike: Source
ServerBroadcastPort=27015:6,4242
ServerEncodingType=UTF8
InGameRenderer=D3D9
InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE|USE_PRESENT|DISABLE_RELEASE
ChangeTolerance=6
Now save and hit "yes, overwrite" or whatever.
This is mostly for my personal use since I have to google everytime I feel like using xfire and CS:S.
Keywords: non, steam, css, CSS, CS:S, counter, strike, source, counter strike source, non-steam, digital zone, digtal-zone, casemods, scarslilpyro, annonymouse
