babiz: You must keep your HoT on your teammate and yourself. You must keep an opponent cyclone or root, and you can also help your friend for dps.

blagou: 23 affliction & 38 demonology, best tank spec with Soul Link and an important dps with the DOTs in affliction because you are often the main target in 2v2 or 3v3
Simon (city15hunter1991): what is best setup as rogue in 2v2,3v3 ?
pheolol: Druid rogue is a good setup. Warlock / rogue or Mage / rogue is good too, but maybe a little harder to play. As for 3v3, the common RMP is very good. You can also play Druid / rogue / war or druid / rogue/ lock.
×EsKon× (eskon05): Ok, I as a rogue have not arena'd in a long time what would be my best make-up group for 2v2, 33v33, or 5v5?
tsoukie: For 5v5, you can't go wrong with an euro-setup (Rogue, Mage, Priest, Druid, Warlock). For 3v3 the best team is RMP but you can play some compos like RLD or RWD with some succes. For 2v2, it depends if you want to play a 2 dps comp (ie Rogue/Lock;, Rogue/Mage or Rogue/spriest) or if you want to go the 1 heal / 1 dps way with Rogue/Priest or Rogue/Druid.

babiz: Resto druid for sure. Shaman must cast all his healing spell, and he don't have enough cc.
Droods are more powerful, to heal their friend, they don't need casting, spells, and they've the best cc (cyclone). So, without hesitation drood > resto sham

babiz: 2v2 => Drood
3v3 => Drood or priest
5v5 => Paladin

blagou: not at all, you just need 3% spell hit in pvp, with head enchant, affli shoulders and the dagger (arena stuff), you reach easily the 3%.
Spell dmg gems still the best for red socket.
Jc - CTU (jcone): What is the most suitable talent for a mage in pvp 2v2 or 3v3 and what class is the most suitable partner for a mage in arena setup ?
pheolol: Improved counterspell is indispensable in the 2v2 and 3v3 bracket, so you have to spec 17/0/44. For 2v2, I consider Mage / rogue as the best setup for a mage, and also one of the best in the 22 bracket, but hard to play very well. For 3v3, RMP is the best setup for a mage.
×EsKon× (eskon05): Ok, now gear choice. I am a t6 raider I have my 4 set Slayers set. Is this good quality for pvping in arena? Am I just a weak link?
tsoukie: No, on the contrary, pve gear is a huge asset to rogues in arena. I personally wear 4 T6 and pvp gear in other slots to compensate
Simon (city15hunter1991): How Much Hit rating and attack power should I have as rogue for pvp arena ?
tsoukie: You need 79 hit rating not to miss any special attacks. Any more is really not that useful - if you have more, then it's all good, but you should never be looking for this stats instead of anything else like attack power, agi, stam, etc...
As far as attack power is concerned, you can aim for 1k8 1k9 in full pvp gear
Have you had the opportunity to play Arena against the best international teams ? If so, what team do you consider the best in the World today?
babiz: Rogue Mage Priest ! Those 3 classes are perfect for a team. You have a lot of cc, an offensive dispel, and one of the best burst dps. If your rogue and your mage are synchronized, you must kill someone very quickly.

mischamillenium: It's useless, because the druid needs to get away fast and that’s what he des best with all his instant heals

tsoukie: It's a great team, we didnt have the opportunity to play against them a lot since they played 2-3 days only but they play really well, sonny especially is quite impressive as a druid

pheolol: If you're a warlock, critical strike is useless. Choose resilience. For a mage, it depends of the bracket : I would take resilience for 2v2, and spell damage + critical strike for 3v3 & 5v5

mischamillenium: Could be if you've got a rogue and poisons to compensate de Mortal Strike loss.

tsoukie: You want to gem for more DPS. The question is, do you want more attack power or more crit ? It's mostly a matter of taste, both are good and there have been successful players with both styles. Most warriors tend to gem in pure strength/attack power, but if you want to have 40%, you can go this way and still be successful
[WP]Typhoon (the2ndfreak): Do you think that Arena-fights in WoW give equal chances for all specs & classes, or do you think that they are biased towards specific "optimal" combinations?
mischamillenium: I think it's clearly not, you can see that some combinations are above others, but all classes can be in the top arena teams , but in 2v2 it's really hard for some classes

tsoukie: Not really, the only resilience enchant you should do is the one on chest. For all the others enchants, you should go with fully offensive stats.

pheolol: I didnt fraps a lot of arena fights (as you could see, I only had 3) because it's harder to play while frapsing. Every match is important in the tournament realm, so I prefer not frapsing to prevent any lose because of that. It's the same for Redsea.

blagou: really useful in large brackets like 5v5 or bg, powerful against melee class with his frozen trap and good in outlast with a nice sustained dps and his mana drain (for a marksman spec). In small brackets (2v2 and 3v3) you need a very specific line-up mana outlast based (often with a drood). Hunters have a lack of burst dps, even if the beastmaster can be surprising in that way.

babiz: You can reach the top ladder with an Enhancement Shaman. In 3v3, u can play with a Resto Druid and a Mortal Strike Warrior. You can also play with a Disc Priest and a Resto Druid.
In 5v5, the powerful setup for an Enhancement Shaman is "melee zerg”: Rogue, Warrior, Priest, Paladin

mischamillenium: almost every class and specs are good in arena as long as the player behind the toon is good, but most likely it will get harder at some point in the ladder

blagou: pve gear is really bad for a wl in arena. you need a large amount of resilience that you don't get on pve gear. So if you want to start playing in arena, begin to farm the pvp stuff with honor to increase your resilience.
psedonyme: If millenium dream became a PMR, do you think composition like hercule will be simpler to win?
pheolol: We'll play RMP during the phase 2. We didn't have any difficulties vs DRW with PMW setup, but yes, it will be easier with RMP. The main reason we decided to play RMP was to be able to beat others RMP, since it's quite hard with a PMW setup.

tsoukie: It depends on your class, but I'd say that situational awareness is the difference between a good and a great player. Anyone can mash mortal strike or hemo for 2 minutes, but seeing all the small things that happen at the same time in an high end arena match is a lot harder than it seems,. Mostt of the best players are the one who are very aware in arenas.
